Job Description

The Safety Supervisor will be responsible for all aspects of health and safety management for Georgia-Pacific Wood Products' Jarratt, VA Softboard facility. Responsibilities include OSHA compliance and record keeping, maintaining a working knowledge of health and safety standards, corporate policies and procedures and best practices, maintaining VPP Star status, accident investigation and reporting, and health and safety training. Other responsibilities include seeking employee involvement in health and safety, forming working and viable safety committees, and communication with corporate safety and health personnel.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree

KNOWLEDGE:
Strong communication, planning, and organization skills. Strong presentation, verbal and written skills. Training in First Aid and CPR.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree and minimum two years of experience in the industrial health and safety field.
